Start with one heart and gain a heart each time you die.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 78 graded mods, 40 are graded A or B, 21 C and 17 D to F. Its last update came out 5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
X-Life 3 is an unofficial recreation of the private modpack used in the X Life YouTube series, built around a high-stakes life system: players begin with one heart, gain a heart each time they die, and are unable to respawn if they die again at the 10-heart maximum. The pack adds custom biomes across the Overworld, Nether, and End, bringing new plants, trees, ores, blocks, and mobs, alongside a wider range of animals and pets, some tameable and some dangerous. For exploration and combat, it includes new tools and armor, including hammers and excavators that break a 3-by-3 area, plus expanded enchantments that can reach level 20 and an enchanting table that can reach level 100. Builders get hundreds of additional blocks in varied colors and patterns, with examples including furniture, bridges, doors, roofs, windows, and wallpaper. Mob farming is also expanded with compact, single-block farms available in multiple tiers, with the more difficult tiers offering greater rewards.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 29 Oct 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 Oct 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 78 of its 79 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of 78 of its 79 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 61 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
18 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
