About
Tabla’s Dragons Retexture gives the Fire, Ice, and Lightning dragons from Ice and Fire a distinctive visual redesign, intended to complement Excalibur-style aesthetics while also working without the Excalibur packs. Its 12 dragon textures use themes drawn from elements, biomes, and familiar Minecraft materials, with designs including a Nether-inspired red fire dragon, a lush-cave green dragon with azalea growth, a desert-dwelling Dune dragon, and an amethyst dragon modeled after a geode. The ice dragons include a blue dragon with frost-patterned wings, a spotted white dragon, a darkening silver dragon with cyan rune-like scales, and a sapphire dragon whose gems become more prominent as it grows. Lightning dragon designs include the storm-colored Electric Blue dragon, a geode-like Amethyst dragon, a Copper dragon whose horns and wings show oxidation with age, and a Black dragon that grows darker and more starry. Across the designs, textures change with a dragon’s growth stage and often distinguish males from females through features such as wing patterns, colors, and ornamentation, making it easier to identify their stage and sex at a glance. The pack also retextures dragon eggs to match their species, gives fire and ice breath effects a more magical appearance, and adds distinct designs to crystals associated with dragons. Some dragon textures have emissive details, with their glow linked to eye activity by default; the separate Ice and Fire: Emissive Dragons mod can keep them glowing while dragons sleep or blink.
