New Default+ is a vanilla-style resource pack that expands the familiar look of Minecraft with visual variety, customization, and themed details. Players can rename weapons, tools, armor, bows, shields, elytras, and other equipment to apply alternate textures, including designs inspired by Minecraft: Dungeons and Minecraft: Story Mode. Name tags also unlock alternate looks for mobs: examples include camels becoming Young Dragons, horses becoming Dragon Horses, allays becoming Baby Dragons, and cats becoming golems, alongside many wolf and other creature variants. Additional touches include unique potion bottles, enchanted books and spawn eggs, extra paintings, structure-themed chests, alternate slab appearances, enchantment icons and text colors, and distinctive interfaces and dimension-loading screens. Many of these custom textures and visual effects rely on OptiFine or Fabulously Optimized; some item-renaming features also require Variants CIT in modern Fabulously Optimized setups, and Bedrock lacks several of the Java pack’s features.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes 1,840 models.
Counted from the first 20,000 files of the pack.
Adds 2 other files, 60 models and 1 language file. In OptiFine's formats: 566 connected textures, 5,317 custom item textures, 102 entity models, varied textures for 13 mobs, 3,005 glowing textures, custom colors, 3 texture animations and 178 other files.
Block textures are mostly 16 by 16 pixels, up to 64 by 64.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
