Ancient Aether is an add-on for The Aether that makes exploration feel more adventurous through overhauled, 1.18-style world generation and new biomes, terrain, structures, creatures, blocks, and dungeons. Its revised landscapes include Majestic Islands, Quicksoil coasts, cloudbeds, cliffs, caves, and reworked Skyroot woodlands and forests, with more varied trees and flowers. Three new regions provide distinct environments: the Elevated Islands have pale grass, blue-and-gold trees, and Gravity Gravel coasts that increase jump height; the cold Wyndcaps feature frozen taigas, Highland Buffalo, and abandoned Valkyrie labs; and the lush Sakura Jungle is marked by Sakura Trees, new wildlife, and overgrown underground caves and Bronze Dungeons. Ore generation also changes, with Ambrosium and Icestone appearing below Y 256, Zanite below Y 160, and Gravitite below Y 72.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Blocks and fluidsChanges 2 game code files in this area: how blocks, fluids and redstone work..
Adds 156 blocks, 56 items, 5 mobs, 2 boats, 3 projectiles, 2 other entities, 13 biomes, 8 structures, 178 recipes, 18 advancements, 55 loot tables and 27 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
