Made for CO-OP. A unique, immersive and difficult horror modpack with a campaign and tons of custom content.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 291 graded mods, 213 are graded A or B, 61 C and 17 D to F. Its last update came out 13 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Fear Nightfall: Remains of Chaos is a co-op-focused horror modpack built around a difficult, immersive campaign, with eerie music and custom content shaping its atmosphere. Its additions include 16 blocks and nine structures from Horror Elements, five structures from Formations Overworld, and seven structures for the End from Moog’s End Structures. The pack makes encounters more threatening: zombies can pick up and throw some mobs, nearby mobs may sprint at players, and Endermen can teleport targets closer when they cannot reach or see them. Sanity is part of survival, with positive sanity sources made more effective and negative sources draining less sanity; players can also drink blood bottles. Fresh Animations adds or adjusts mob animations, while Ashen contributes textures for UI elements, items, and mobs, as well as new paintings.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20 · Forge, 13 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 6 Jul 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 295 of its 297 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 271 of its 272 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 32 of the 234 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
38 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
