Explore snowy biomes, gather aurora magic, and craft enchanted gear.
60 of the 71 points that apply = 85 out of 100.
Auroral turns cold biomes into a setting for aurora-driven crafting and survival progression: during aurora events, Glacial Basins collect Liquid Aura, Shimmersteel gear repairs itself, and Aurora Blooms sprout on snow before wilting at daybreak. Use a Glacial Basin to refine materials into Shimmersteel Ingots, Shimmerweave Fabric, Aurora Shards, and Shimmering Ice, then upgrade iron equipment into specialized tools and armor. Shimmersteel gear offers abilities such as gem-focused Fortune on the pickaxe, forced copper oxidation with the axe, Silk Touch on the shovel, and a sword that slows and can execute weakened enemies; Shimmerweave pieces reveal nearby hostiles, extinguish fire, improve movement on snow or soul sand, or enable skating across ice. A Cold Brewing Stand lets players brew without Nether ingredients, using snowballs in place of Blaze Powder and Frozen Petals in place of Nether Wart. The winter flora and blocks include Aurora Blooms that yield Frozen Petals, Glow Leeks grown on Shimmering Ice for Night Vision, long-burning Hearthwood Logs that protect against frostbite and can catalyze auroras, and Aurora Lanterns that guard against the Darkness effect. Players can also raise a Snowlette companion that follows and sits like a tamed wolf, heals when struck by snowballs, and emits aurora sparkles. The wider content includes tamed, rideable Auroral Nautili that appear during aurora events, plus Shimmer Soil for growing crops in the snow.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Networking and multiplayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server..
Adds 12 blocks, 29 items, 2 mobs, 1 projectile, 33 recipes, 15 advancements and 14 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
auroral-26.1.2-1.5.7.jar, CurseForge auroral-26.1.2-1.5.7.jar. 1 class changed, in com.breakinblocks.auroral.events: PlayerEventHandler.Minecraft 1.21.11 · NeoForge · release 1.0.4 · 14 Jan 2026: Modrinth Ultraminer-1.0.0.jar, CurseForge auroral-1.21.11-1.0.4.jar. 126 classes only in the CurseForge file, 259 classes only in the Modrinth file, in com.breakinblocks.auroral: Auroral (CurseForge only), AuroraBloomBlock (CurseForge only), AuroraLanternBlock (CurseForge only), ColdBrewingStandBlock (CurseForge only), ColdBrewingStandBlockEntity$1 (CurseForge only), ColdBrewingStandBlockEntity (CurseForge only), GlacialBasinBlock$InfusionRecipe (CurseForge only), GlacialBasinBlock (CurseForge only), GlacialBasinBlockEntity (CurseForge only), GlowLeekBlock (CurseForge only), HearthwoodLogBlock (CurseForge only), HearthwoodLogBlockEntity (CurseForge only) and 373 more.We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
