    About

    Better Swords Trims adds a smithing template called Spike that lets you apply combat and utility effects to iron-through-netherite swords, using familiar minerals and materials. Quartz grants extra experience for defeating an enemy, emerald makes a struck mob levitate for four seconds, and lapis lazuli makes nearby mobs of the same type glow for 45 seconds. Weeping obsidian deals area damage in a 3×3 zone around the target, redstone slows the struck mob, and copper increases sword durability. You can find the Spike template in chests in classic structures such as villages and pyramids, or craft it from four copper ingots, two emeralds, and one diamond. A configuration file lets you adjust some of the Spike enhancements to suit your preferences.
