Mechanical helpers that farm, mine, haul items, and protect you.
48.7 of the 68 points that apply = 72 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
ByteBuddies adds mechanical helpers that take on farming, mining, item transport, and combat-protection tasks. Assign a role by giving a Buddy a designated item: Farmers tend nearby crops and can till soil with a hoe, Miners dig for resources around their Docking Station or follow a defined area using a Clipboard, Haulers move items between inventories, and Fighters follow and protect you with configurable aggression. A powered Docking Station acts as the Buddies’ dispatcher and storage hub; linked Buddies synchronize tasks, preventing them from competing for the same work, and farming and mining require a linked station. Customize Buddies with screen colors, chassis materials, and faces, and upgrade them with three tiers of floppy disks in eight colors: black reduces tool wear and improves durability, blue expands range, cyan can create a temporary parallel-working hologram, green reduces power and applicable consumable use, pink supports nearby allies, purple improves yields, red trades greater power and speed for higher energy use, and yellow can produce task-related byproducts. Batteries power both Buddies and Docking Stations, with five capacity tiers, and can be recharged by a Generator or Solar Panel. Augments expand storage, durability, movement, and other capabilities: plating boosts armor at a movement cost, storage cells add inventory slots, and examples include the Propeller Unit for low-altitude flight, the Aqua Motor for underwater movement, Solar Array for daylight charging, Arc Welder for repairs while idle, and Magnetic Crescent for picking up nearby items.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds 11 blocks, 67 items, 1 entity and 65 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

More modpacks put it in their new versions than a year ago: 9 a month now, 0 a year agoThe average of the last 6 months, compared with the same 6 months a year before. We say it only when the change is large..
71 modpacks include ByteBuddies in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with ByteBuddies. Share: how many of the modpacks with ByteBuddies also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
