    Cape Provider lets players choose, activate, and reorder cape providers, with configuration options to control how capes are applied and a preview of the selected setup. Players can add local capes by placing a texture in the configuration directory, optionally limiting it to specified names or UUIDs, or configure remote providers that fetch capes using customizable templates. Mod developers can also supply capes through mod resources and metadata, assigning them to named players or UUIDs without requiring network access, or implement a programmatic provider. Textures can use PNG files, and animated capes are supported through stacked PNG sprites or GIFs; animation can be frozen or disabled in settings.
