    About

    Cardinal Ice Boats adds quality-of-life controls for ice boating, with boat placement automatically aligning to cardinal or 45-degree directions when installed on either the server or the client. On the client, players can prime a turn that stops and rotates the boat by 90 degrees when the turn comes up, snap a misaligned boat to the nearest supported direction, or instantly rotate it 180 degrees to reverse. A centering control aligns the boat on the ice, nudging it away from a nearby wall to avoid a crash; centering also happens automatically after turns by default, and the controls can be configured in the vanilla controls menu.
