Helpful quests and guidance make vanilla easier to explore.

Tinkerer's Quilt is a vanilla-compatible modpack that keeps Minecraft’s blocks, items, and world features unchanged while making the game more accessible, discoverable, customizable, and comfortable to play. Its 166 in-game quests guide players from the basics of the Overworld, Nether, and End through homesteading, transport, housing, farming, mechanisms, self-defense, and exploration, including niche topics such as building furniture and using beds as weapons. The pack provides in-game guidance and discovery tools, including EMI for recipes, WTHIT for identifying blocks and mobs, and PicoHUD for location, direction, and time. Its gameplay adjustments address common frustrations: mobs are neutral on easy difficulty unless provoked, deaths leave a persistent grave with items and experience, tools can be repaired and upgraded, pets can be protected and revived, and horses are improved for travel. Building and everyday play also gain practical options such as midair bridging without sneaking, portable crafting, automatic block pickup, crawling, and in-game notes for plans or places to revisit. Character-expression features include origins with traits and abilities, selectable player height and size, in-game skin changes, and skins that can display features such as tails, horns, ears, claws, or wings. Visual and performance changes include Sodium, optional shader support through Iris, clearer or altered textures, falling leaves, and support for many OptiFine-format resource packs, including connected textures and custom skyboxes.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Quilt, 6 Dec 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 9 Nov 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 125 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 114 of its 115 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 115 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
