About
Caves and Cliffs Mod brings a broad selection of features from the Caves and Cliffs update into a backport, adding blocks, items, creatures, and gameplay changes to explore and use. Its additions include axolotls that spawn in water biomes, goats’ horn sounds, a Warden, amethyst geodes and crystals, and new cave plants such as glow-berry vines, dripleaf, moss, spore blossoms, and azaleas. Copper changes color over time and can be waxed to preserve its appearance; the mod also adds cut-copper stairs and slabs, candles, powdered snow, tinted glass, lightning rods, and several new stone types. Stalactites hang from ceilings while stalagmites sit on the ground, and amethyst crystals grow on all sides of budding amethyst. Dripleaf platforms tip after being stepped on, glow-berry vines can be climbed and produce berries over time, and powdered snow adds a freezing overlay. The mod also changes survival crafting and utility: cauldrons can hold lava or powdered snow, shovels turn dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, and mycelium into path blocks, and firework rockets have a recipe-book recipe.
