    About

    CIT Resewn Continuation keeps classic MCPatcher and OptiFine-style Custom Item Textures resource packs working on newer Minecraft versions, so players and modpack creators can continue using the format without OptiFine. It supports conditional custom item textures and models, including rename-based variants, alongside armor and elytra textures and legacy rules based on CustomModelData and item damage. CIT rules can also replace item subtextures and model parts, including bow, crossbow, shield, and trident-throwing models, while model-backed CITs can use OptiFine-style relative texture references. The mod also has first-pass support for custom enchantment glints, allowing resource packs to replace the usual purple effect, though this feature still needs broader testing. Many existing CIT packs work without modification, and the continuation includes performance improvements for matching and rendering as well as reduced reload pressure from large packs. It is available for Fabric and NeoForge, with Fabric support more mature and NeoForge support still under testing.
