Grab and climb vertical ropes with your bare hands.

Climbable Ropes adds empty-hand climbing and riding interactions to Create: Aeronautics’ Simulated rope strands and Plunger Launcher ropes, complementing rather than replacing Simulated’s existing wrench-driven strand zipline. Look at a rope within reach and right-click with an empty main hand to attach: use W to climb and S to descend along the rope, while Sprint plus S accelerates into a smooth slide that eases to a stop when released. Turning the camera swings you around the rope; Sneak lets you drop off, and Space gives you an upward jump or, at a rope’s top, can mantle you onto a block above. Hanging strands can be climbed at any angle by default, with a server-side setting to restrict them to steeper ropes; plunger ropes link paired launched plungers, and their climbing direction is set when you grab on. Plunger ropes also support a separate zipline-style ride: hold a chain-rideable item such as Create’s wrench and right-click to latch on, then traverse with WASD; a horizontal line can serve as a walkable rope bridge, while steep lines let gravity carry you along. Rope riders are carried along when the ropes are attached to moving ships or contraptions, and dismounting preserves the moving structure’s velocity. Climb animations show hand-over-hand movement, a one-handed hanging idle and a braced pose during fast slides, with the player model leaning to follow the rope angle; the animations sync for other players in multiplayer and can be configured.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 4 game code files in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen. and User interfaceChanges 1 game code file in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay..
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
