About
Cobweb is a shared API for Minecraft mod developers, designed to reduce loader-specific boilerplate and support code reuse across Fabric and NeoForge projects. Its common-module configuration system lets developers define and register mod settings once for use across loaders, while its unified registration API handles game objects such as items, blocks, entities, and data components. The API also provides simple ways to retrieve block and item IDs, create Java-populated static registries that other mods can contribute to, and declare aliases for registry entries. Mods can include built-in static data or texture packs that appear in Minecraft’s pack selection menu and can be made toggleable; dynamic resource-pack support is experimental and currently limited to data packs containing tags. Cobweb additionally includes a dynamic block entity for mutable block sets, and Fabric-specific helpers for easier registration.
