DeceasedCraft is a zombie-apocalypse survival modpack about scavenging through infected cities, developing technology and equipment, and progressing toward the Wasteland and the search for a cure. Its procedurally generated urban world is divided into five custom districts and includes more than 60 hand-crafted buildings, from apartments and offices to hotels, hospitals, plazas, and suburban homes. Exploration and quests drive progression: over eight story-bearing NPCs offer quests and trading, while a quest book guides players through a custom storyline and district-based objectives. Players can build a base and automate production with a technology system centered on Create and Immersive Engineering, while scavenging loot from hundreds of distinct building loot tables. Combat offers more than 100 weapons, including melee arms and firearms such as the M1911, AK-47, M4A1, M82A3, and RPG-7, alongside over 20 armor sets across four progression tiers. The infected include more than 15 special zombie types, and escalating horde waves grow more difficult as playtime advances; formidable encounters include the city-stalking Demolisher and the Rat King. Survival also involves managing diet, thirst, temperature, and body-part damage, with varied foods able to increase health and infection posing a risk of turning the player into a zombie. Players can restore abandoned vehicles or build them, and use parkour and a customizable skill tree to shape how they traverse and survive the city. The Wasteland adds a later challenge with distinctive enemies, while the project also features armor-set bonuses and a reworked horde system.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 17 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 17 Jul 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 316 of its 318 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 307 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 14 of the 256 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
51 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
