A cozy world of quests, exploration, and building.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 362 graded mods, 305 are graded A or B, 49 C and 8 D to F. Its last update came out yesterday, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Homestead is a cozy Vanilla+ modpack that expands survival with a handcrafted world and a flexible questbook, guiding exploration and progression without forcing a set route. Its terrain combines lush forests, fields, mountains, and rivers with hand-built cabins, towers, ruins, and dungeons, alongside expanded regions such as the forests of Nature’s Spirit, the new Overworld and Nether biomes of Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone, and the reworked Nether of Incendium. Quest chapters cover homesteading, exploration, mining, machinery, and magic, introducing mechanics and offering useful items, experience, and equipment as rewards. Survival adds custom-gem tools and armor, including Ruby, Topaz, Peridot, Sapphire, Jade, Aquamarine, and Ametrine sets, plus reworked recipes and a slower progression; peaceful players can craft hostile-mob drops. Exploration brings tameable Mushlings and Fernlings, rideable creatures, mob variants and mini-bosses, as well as shrines, treasure hunts, mystical biomes, and rare artifacts such as the power-granting Golden Leaf. For building and homesteading, the pack provides hundreds of blocks spanning wood, stone, shingles, beams, and decor, with furniture and lighting from mods such as Chipped, Twigs, Cluttered, and Beautify: Refabricated. Storage options include chests, crates, and backpacks, while Create-based automation and optional tools such as Tom’s Simple Storage and Wireless Redstone add practical utility without a high-tech focus. The pack also includes shader choices ranging from lightweight Potato Shaders to cinematic presets in Complimentary Reimagined, plus Nostalgia, MakeUp - UltraFast, and Super Duper Vanilla.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 22 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 May 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 355 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 349 of its 350 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 21 of the 311 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
39 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
