About
Economical Villager Trading replaces vanilla villager restocking to reduce the need for duplicate villagers and the lag their numbers can cause, while making trading less dependent on waiting. When you exhaust a trade that gives you emeralds, the villager restocks all trades that cost items; exhausting a trade that costs items restocks all trades that give you emeralds. Villagers also restock every trade when they level up or when all their trades are exhausted, so they cannot become completely unavailable for trading. The mechanic encourages using a wider range of a villager’s trades and makes buying and selling less one-sided; it works server-side, in single player, and with most modded villagers and trades. Configuration options include restoring vanilla restocks alongside the new mechanic, adjusting trade-price changes and reputation-based pricing, and changing villager XP gains.
