Lets Bedrock players join Java servers with friends.
68 of the 71 points that apply = 96 out of 100.
Geyser is a proxy that lets Minecraft: Bedrock Edition players join Minecraft: Java Edition servers, translating network traffic between the two editions to make cross-platform play possible. To bring Bedrock closer to the Java experience, it includes an integrated resource pack with features such as armor-stand poses, offhand animations, missing particles, illusioners, and interface adjustments for menus that differ between editions. Server owners can also provide Bedrock resource packs and configure mappings for custom items, blocks, skulls, waypoint icons, and entities; Geyser does not automatically convert Java resource packs or create these mappings. Because the editions differ, some features cannot be supported perfectly, and Geyser’s translation has known limitations.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 4 areas: Server and world logicChanges 2 game code files in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules., Networking and multiplayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server., Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting. and Blocks and fluidsChanges 1 game code file in this area: how blocks, fluids and redstone work..
Libraries packed inside it change 2 more game code files: Cloud and Cloud Command Framework.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends usage statistics, crash reports and unknown data
Sent to api.mclo.gs, dump.geysermc.org and bstats.org.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
The author declares on Modrinth that it sends crash reports or usage data unless you turn this off.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
Claude Code is named in its files.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
