Homesteads expands the Overworld with five independent homesteader professions: Lumberjacks, Trappers, Beekeepers, Prospectors, and Foragers, who live in new structures rather than ordinary villages. They appear in fitting environments: Lumberjacks and Trappers in forests, swamps, and taigas; Beekeepers in forests, meadows, and taigas; Prospectors in badlands and caves; and Foragers in swamps and meadows. Each profession has specialized trades, covering wood and saplings for Lumberjacks, leather and animal goods for Trappers, bee and honey products for Beekeepers, ores for Prospectors, and flowers for Foragers. Five matching workstations support the homesteaders’ trades: the Lumberjack’s Log, Tanning Rack, Honey Bottling Station, Prospector’s Bench, and Forager’s Bench; these blocks can be crafted or found in the new structures. The workstations also offer practical ways to process resources: the Lumberjack’s Log turns planks into building parts such as stairs, slabs, fences, doors, and buttons; the Tanning Rack converts rotten flesh into leather; and the Prospector’s Bench sifts gravel for flint and copper, iron, or gold nuggets. The Forager’s Workbench yields twice as much dye as standard crafting and lets players make green dye from ferns, while the Honey Bottling Station uses honeycomb and empty bottles to produce honey bottles. The mod includes ten new structures, with several variations of each, to house its homesteaders.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Server and world logicChanges 1 game code file in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules..
Adds 5 blocks, 6 structures, 5 recipes, 5 advancements and 2 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
