    About

    ibarn's Quartet Origins is an addon for the Origins mod that adds four playable origins, each with distinctive abilities, traits, and drawbacks. The Ghaster is a semi-transparent ghast descendant who can shoot blaze fireballs, inflate to rise briefly, float down slowly, and avoid fire and fall damage, but has less health and reduced melee damage and mining speed. The Sand Person spawns in a desert, gains resistance while standing on sand, and can burrow invisibly in sand or red sand; away from sand they suffer weakness and take extra damage from shovels. The Soul Sorcerer, also called the Soul Mage, launches experience-scaled soul fireballs that inflict armor-bypassing soul burning and gains stronger attacks near soul fire, along with soul-speed movement on soul soil or soul sand. This origin resists magic and soul burning, frightens most piglins, and gains experience from vegetables, while meat provides less nourishment and ordinary fire weakens its attacks and causes mining fatigue. The Wither Wraith is a half-living, half-undead being fused with a Wither Core: it flies, avoids fall damage, and fires homing wither skulls, while both its melee and ranged attacks inflict wither. Its severe limitations include only five hearts of health, an inability to wear armor above iron, and a Nether spawn.
