About
Inventory Tabs is a client-side mod that lets you switch between nearby in-world screens through tabs shown on the current screen. Its tabs can link storage such as chests, crafting stations, your inventory, and nearby entities, so you can move between their screens without closing the one you are using. Tabs can be selected by clicking, or cycled forward and backward with keyboard input. Storage tabs can be labelled with signs or item frames, and renaming them at an anvil is also supported when a server is involved, helping organise nearby containers. Items held on the cursor carry over when switching screens, provided your inventory has room. The mod works with many modded blocks, and its configuration lets modpack authors adjust which screens, blocks, entities, or items receive tabs, including disabling or replacing provider matches. It also exposes inventories that normally require extra steps, such as opening a player inventory while riding a horse or chest boat, or accessing sneak-interact inventories without dismounting.
