Knob Control is a configurable modpack-making tool that lets creators choose which gameplay rules and content changes to enable, with settings organized into separate modules. Its general options cover rules such as the day-night cycle, fire spread, keeping inventory, natural regeneration, PvP, sleep, rain and thunder, alongside client choices for the F3 screen, field of view, food information and potion displays. Creators can tune survival and combat behavior, including hunger loss, poison-related effects, damage sources that can cause instant death, and the effects mobs inflict on players. World and creature controls let pack makers adjust mob spawn light levels, biome spawn lists, group sizes and spawn weights, as well as mob drops, player-kill drops, mob removal, and whether mobs produce bones. Other modules control vanilla and modded ore generation, selected terrain features and trees in plains, furnace fuels and temperatures, item stack sizes, and whether vanilla items or armor are available. The extra crafting module adds recipes such as chests from logs, flint, name tags and experience bottles, includes old-school recipes for arrows, books, golden apples, horse armor and oak fences, and allows gold and iron to be recycled into ingots. An uncrafting module can return ingredients from selected vanilla recipes, with examples including glass bottles into glass, furnaces into cobblestone and crafting tables into planks.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.12.2.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
