A brutal survival pack where monsters grow stronger over time.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 86 graded mods, 30 are graded A or B, 18 C and 38 D to F. Its last update came out 7.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Madpack 4 is a hardcore modpack built around surviving an escalating challenge and completing a main quest line that guides players through boss progression and important survival items. Mobs and bosses grow more difficult over time, with an on-screen difficulty meter; sleeping accelerates the challenge, and difficulty rises twice as fast in other dimensions as in the Overworld. Players can counter the rising threat by exploring for power boosts, healing items, and quality-of-life resources, while side quests offer additional guidance and point toward powerful items. Every eight days, an Overworld event brings bosses whose drops can reduce difficulty, while unpredictable events can bring other dimensions’ threats to the player. Survival rules are substantially changed: natural health regeneration is slower, larger meals take longer to eat, rain slows movement, and the vanilla combat cooldown is removed so attacks always land at full strength. Healing options include items found in structures and dungeons, with an upgradeable Kappa flask becoming a key method later on.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 3 Jun 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
9 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 2 Jun 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 90 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 90 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 41 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
49 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
