A questing pack for building factories and automating production.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 89 graded mods, 22 are graded A or B, 23 C and 44 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Automaton is a focused questing modpack built around factory construction and automation with large multiblock machines, with more than 200 quests guiding players through its progression. Players begin with Furnus for ore doubling, then advance into Immersive Engineering and, after obtaining steel, expand power generation with Immersive Petroleum and Immersive Tech. With factory infrastructure established, Applied Energistics 2 supports resource organization and automation, while Mekanism adds compact machinery, resource processing of up to five times the ores, and a Fusion Reactor for large-scale power. The pack also includes Environmental Tech void miners and solar arrays, airships from Viescraft for exploration, Waystones for travel, and Roguelike Dungeons for challenging expeditions. Building and decorating factories is supported by Chisel, Chisels and Bits, Platforms, Blockcraftery, and Inspirations.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 23 Mar 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 9 Mar 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 94 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 94 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (23 Mar 2019) in the 40 mods we checked.
5 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
54 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
