    About

    Obscuria's Essentials is the foundational mod for the Obscuria Collection, providing shared materials and elements while managing the collection's storytelling. Its items include crafting materials such as cloth, magic cloth, weapon billets, and Witchstone shards, along with rings and pendants that hold powerful modifiers. Other additions include the Afterlife Key, the Lance of Northern Star, and Shining Apples and Bones that permanently increase the health of horses and wolves. Hilda is a new NPC who advances the global story, extracts magic dust from runes, and can assist in battles with ranged damage and an absorption effect for the player. Some creatures, including players, can bleed when damaged, with the chance depending on the damage taken and the share of health already lost; this mechanic can be disabled in the configuration.
