About
Lil' Critters is a ZAWA: Evolved addon that adds small wild animals to bring more life and atmosphere to zoo exhibits. Its roster includes tree squirrels, guinea pigs, capybaras, opossums, raccoons, skunks, small-clawed otters, tufted deer, banded penguins, box turtles, pond sliders, dwarf crocodiles, tree monitors, bullfrogs, dart frogs, Pacman frogs, pumpkin toadlets, tomato frogs, and mystery snails. These animals appear in fitting habitats, from coastal deserts and temperate forests to rainforests and freshwater biomes, and vary in rarity and group size. Their behaviors also differ: timid species flee from players, defensive or territorial animals may retaliate, and neutral animals generally leave players alone unless their young are threatened. Players can tame many species with suitable kibble, while ambient mystery snails cannot be tamed but can be picked up; animals also have distinct diets and enrichment preferences, such as heat lamps and rocks for frogs or feeders, swings, and scented balls for mammals. Many species can be bred with particular food items and produce offspring that mature over time, adding animal-care and breeding considerations to exhibit building.
