About
LivelierPokemon is a Cobblemon side mod that brings Pokémon characteristics and abilities into Minecraft through effects on Pokémon, their owners, nearby entities, and the surrounding world. Some Pokémon grant their owners passive effects when sent out, including Strength from Power Spot, Resistance from Friend Guard, Luck from Serene Grace, and Haste from Victory Star; increased friendship can strengthen these owner effects. Other abilities change Pokémon themselves or affect combat: Speed Boost grants Speed, Poison Heal turns poison into healing, Rough Skin damages attackers, and Aftermath creates an explosion on death without damaging the environment. Ability-based immunities and defenses include protection from status effects, poison, fire, slowness, paralysis, and projectiles, with Wonder Guard limiting damage to attacks the Pokémon is weak to. Field effects can alter nearby entities and Pokémon: Electric Terrain prevents slowness and strengthens Electric Pokémon, Grassy Terrain heals and speeds crop growth, Misty Terrain blocks negative status effects, and Psychic Terrain stops projectiles. Weather abilities summon local rain, snow, sandstorms, sun, strong winds, or clear conditions, with effects such as extinguishing fires, slowing hostile mobs, damaging them, granting players Night Vision or movement benefits, and clearing other weather. Pokémon also interact with familiar Minecraft creatures and activities: Creepers flee from cat Pokémon, spiders flee from armadillo Pokémon, mining in the Overworld can spawn Geodude, and Damp prevents nearby Creepers, Voltorb, and Electrode from exploding. Distinctive Pokémon behaviors include Abra teleporting, Fire-type Pokémon hiding from rain and thunderstorms, Bad Dreams disturbing nearby sleeping players, and Suicune using a Golden Apple to purify nearby Zombie Villagers. The mod's effects and abilities are configurable, including the option to enable or disable specific abilities and adjust their effectiveness.
