Luminous: Nether expands the Nether with the Fungal Plains and Ash Forest, adding new landscapes, structures, building materials, creatures, loot, and gameplay systems. In the Fungal Plains, players can explore infectious yellow growths, mushroom wood, Fungirack bricks, and structures such as ruined portals and monster-bone bases, while hostile Piglin Cultists and bouncing Mushlins make the biome dangerous. The Ash Forest brings ash and withered wood building sets, ghostly structures, and Driprot vines that grow pale melons, alongside enemies including Piglin Cultist leaders and riders, Piglin Ghosts, Spirits, Crimson Walkers, Revenants, Guzzleghasts, and Gliders. Pottergeists found in Ash Forest structures can be tamed as companions that follow or stay, carry up to 15 inventory slots, and wear loot vases in distinctive styles. Loot vases found across several Nether regions can contain blocks, food, experience bottles, resources, and other rewards, including Cultist and Haunt armor trims. Three legendary beasts, the Mushlin King, Piglin Executioner, and Furnace, and their rare counterparts in the Warped Forest, Basalt Deltas, and Soul Sand Valley offer challenging fights with possible music discs, trophies, and distinctive usable drops. A ritual table powered by Ghostly Essence offers ten daily rotating rituals, including healing, cleansing negative effects, changing the time, granting experience or Luck, sensing hostile entities, and returning the player to their saved Overworld spawn. Other additions include the Cultist Axe, throwable Crimson Contaminant, Ectoplasm projectiles that affect block gravity, and effects such as Infection, Hemorrhage, and Auto Mending.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 131 blocks, 51 items, 26 entities, 3 biomes, 1 enchantment, 4 paintings, 130 recipes, 11 advancements, 23 loot tables and 18 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 3 of vanilla Minecraft's recipes and 2 advancements.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
