Map Atlases is a vanilla-map-based mapping mod that turns a filled map, a book, and a sticky ingredient into an Atlas that provides both a minimap and a browsable world map. Add filled or empty maps through crafting or a Cartography Table to expand an Atlas; its starting map sets the scale, added filled maps must match that scale, and Atlases can also be cloned, merged, or selectively trimmed. When an active Atlas is carried, the minimap can follow and rotate with the player or use the vanilla grid style, show coordinates, directions, biome, and nearby-mob markers, and automatically map unexplored areas using the Atlas’s empty maps, including across dimensions. The world map supports zooming, panning, dimension and map bookmarks, decoration markers, and waypoints that can be named, color-coded, and targeted on the minimap; it can also be opened from an Atlas placed on a lectern. With Supplementaries, Atlases can use Slice Maps to explore the Nether and other vertical layers, switch between slices, and display biome colors or block lighting at night; Twilight Forest Magic Maps and Maze Maps can also be added and viewed alongside vanilla maps. The mod also supports map decorations such as banners, optional Antique Atlas styling, death markers with a recovery compass, and integrations including Curios hand-slot support and conversion of Xaero Minimap waypoints.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
An AI tool may have been used
Claude Code and Cursor are named in the ignore list of its repository.
This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
