A fully fledged zombie apocalypse modpack.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 239 graded mods, 178 are graded A or B, 48 C and 13 D to F. Its last update came out 3 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Cursed Walking is a curated zombie-apocalypse modpack built around exploration, progression, and surviving an escalating undead threat. Zombies are dangerous at any time: they spawn by day and night, climb over one another, gather into hordes, launch attacks every ten days, and can infect the player. As the apocalypse advances, later phases introduce stronger variants, including runners and brutes. To fight back, players can choose from guns from Timeless and Classic and its addons, plus armor and melee weapons from Marbled's Arsenal and Melees. Exploration leads to cities, bunkers, laboratories, ruins, and other structures with custom loot, including guns; gallery examples include an oil rig and a rare nuke dungeon. The endgame opens access to the Depths, a dangerous dimension reached by finding a map to the drill room and jumping through a bedrock opening, where players can explore buildings, discover distinctive biomes, and seek valuable loot. The Depths also contains two custom powerful creatures, the Drone and Feral, each with its own attacks and mechanics.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 8 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 7 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 236 of its 241 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 231 of its 235 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 201 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
34 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
