About
More Bees expands Forestry’s apiculture with new bee species, breeding branches, traits, frames, combs, and bee-produced materials. Its bees can yield resources ranging from stone, clay, sand, obsidian, redstone, lapis, and prismarine to iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds, gunpowder, ghast tears, slimeballs, and wither skulls. Breeding offers progression into specialist bees such as Rocky, which can be found in overworld hives among exposed rock, and later branches that produce ores, metal dusts, fragments, or other resources. Some outputs have specific conditions: for example, Apocalyptic bees need TNT beneath their hive for several products, while certain Wither bees need a wither skull placed on the hive to produce skulls or nether-star fragments. New traits also affect flowering and hive-area effects, including ore- and resource-based flower requirements and Wither, Radiation, and Slime effects on nearby mobs and players. Three frames provide different tradeoffs for bee production and breeding: the Sweet Frame boosts production but harms bee health, the Mutating Frame increases mutation chances while reducing production, and the Super Cooled Frame greatly boosts production at the cost of lifespan and health. New combs, propolis, grains, and fragments add processing steps for turning bee products into materials such as metal dusts, crystal-branch items, diamonds, emeralds, and nether stars. When compatible resource mods are installed, additional bees can produce materials such as Certus quartz, cobalt, ardite, yellorite, draconium, and uranium-related resources. The mod also lets chorus plants serve as flowers for End bees.
