A tech-focused pack where you automate machines and advance through ages.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 96 graded mods, 38 are graded A or B, 15 C and 43 D to F. Its last update came out 8.9 years ago, for Minecraft 1.10.2. See the mods
Age of Engineering is a technology-focused modpack built around a long, challenging progression through 15 ages. Hundreds of recipes are changed to shape that progression, with access to later ages gated by specific blocks and items; each age's goals and requirements are explained in an in-game guide. Reaching a new age awards an achievement and a trophy that can be placed in the world. The pack emphasizes automating almost everything and solving engineering problems with the resources available, including finding ways to generate power or automate tasks when familiar blocks and items are unavailable or costly. Its recipe changes aim to balance different modded solutions to the same problem, making the pack a demanding experience for experienced players and a learning challenge for semi-experienced players who enjoy technology mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.10.2 · Forge, 25 Nov 2017). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 18 Sep 2017 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 100 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 100 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 50 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
50 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
