An adventure modpack with quests to guide your progress.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 497 graded mods, 140 are graded A or B, 68 C and 289 D to F. Its last update came out 5.4 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
GreedyCraft is a large hybrid modpack that brings together technology, magic, and adventure, with exploration and adventure at its core. It organizes its many mods into a guided questline and progression system, making a clear route toward the end goal while making repetitive tasks optional or simplifying required ones. Players can choose Casual, Adventure, or Expert mode for different playstyles, from relaxed building and farming to exploration or tougher challenges. As players advance, enemies grow stronger and the rewards from them improve, so late-game progression brings tougher fights as well as better loot. Exploration features expanded caves, custom ore placement, revamped villages, treasure shrines that may be traps, turret-guarded chests, and battle towers, alongside random encounters that can yield useful loot. The pack also features epic boss battles and challenging mobs, while keeping home-based building, technology, and magic relatively safe from hostile mobs that try to break in. Combat and equipment progression use a heavily rebalanced Tinker's Construct system with more than 230 material choices, including over 50 pack-added materials with custom traits. Food is also reworked: eating a varied diet increases maximum health, while repeated foods provide diminishing value, and the pack includes more than 2,000 foods to prepare in multiblock kitchens. More than 500 quests offer useful rewards, with some quests varying by pack mode; recipes, dungeon loot, mob drops, and quest rewards are also customized around progression and other conditions. Visual and sensory changes include third-person character animations and battle feedback, shaders, and music that shifts between village, adventure, and combat situations.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 13 Jun 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
8 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Jun 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 506 of its 509 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 498 of its 502 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 220 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
282 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
