About
More Than A Pickaxe adds the Adze, a multitool that works as a pickaxe, axe, sword, hoe, and shovel, letting you handle those tasks without switching tools; it does not shear. It comes in wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, bronze, and titanium types, with steel available when another mod supplies steel ingots; the netherite Adze is fireproof. Compatibility with other mods can add Adzes made from their materials, including emerald, obsidian, ruby, amethyst, sapphire, topaz, quartz, and Gobber variants. Some compatible Adzes have extra behaviors: Lumberjack-enabled versions can fell whole trees, the Gobber and Nether Adzes can switch between felling trees and breaking single blocks, and the End Adze fires infinite arrows. The mod also integrates with The Aether, adding Gravitite, Holystone, Skyroot, Valkyrie, and Zanite Adzes with corresponding special abilities, and with Better Combat for axe attack animations. Other integrations include Galacticraft and ExtraPlanets, which add material-specific Adzes; the Dense Adze from Hammer Time combines a hammer, shovel, axe, and sickle, while some Gobber combinations can place torches suited to the Nether, the Aether, or airless planets and moons.
