    About

    Origins is a NeoForge rewrite of the Origins mod that lets players choose an Origin when they start a world or change it later with an Orb of Origin; each Origin grants its own abilities and traits. The mod provides a configurable system of Origins, powers, layers, and badges, with datapacks allowing players and pack makers to define and customize them. Powers can respond to events, change attributes or other game mechanics, prevent actions, or provide standalone abilities, and can be governed by conditions and actions. Documented power examples include spider-like wall climbing, setting entities on fire, modifying movement or block-breaking speed, restricting armor, and changing how blocks render. Datapacks can combine existing powers into a new Origin, or define custom powers with effects such as setting undead targets alight when struck.
