About
Overweight Farming expands Minecraft farming with rare oversized variants of crops that yield more than their ordinary counterparts when harvested. Beets, carrots, potatoes and beans can grow as Overweight Crops, with increased chances during Moonlight; wearing the farmer-sold Straw Hat further improves those chances and can also give bred animals twins or triplets. The mod adds hands-on uses for these crops: they can be peeled with an axe for vegetable peels, which feed pigs or can be composted into a decorative storage block, while peeled melons can provide seeds or melon juice and their seeds can be waxed for safekeeping. Other additions include overweight poisonous potatoes made by heating an overweight potato, Overweight Apples that can fall from large oak trees, and a craftable golden version that hits harder when it falls; all overweight crops can also be planted in pots. Nether wart can grow into an overweight variant, and the mod adds compatible oversized crops including onion and cabbage for Farmer’s Delight, garlic, mandrake and bloodroot for Bewitchment, ginger for Snowy Spirit, and kiwi for the Hedgehogs mod.
