About
Replication is a technology mod for breaking items down into matter and using that matter to reproduce items, while limiting replication to resources with compatible matter values rather than allowing arbitrary transformations such as dirt into diamonds. Its machines form a connected, power-driven network: the Disintegrator converts items into matter, the Identification Chamber scans items into patterns stored on Memory Chips, and Replicators use matter from tanks to fulfill requests sent through the Replication Terminal. Matter pipes move both power and matter between machines, while tanks store one matter type each and can be configured with insertion and extraction priorities; a connected Chip Storage makes its stored patterns available to the network. The eight matter types are Earth, Organic, Living, Metallic, Precious, Nether, Ender, and Quantum, and the mod can calculate values for modded items from crafting recipes, with datapacks available to add, change, or remove values. The terminal can queue multiple replication operations and show available matter, while Replicators can run in Infinite Mode until the requested item fills up or the network runs out of matter. Players can search the MatterOpedia by matter type or by value, and can speed up Replicators with an enclosure or an adjustable motor, trading higher speed for increased printing-failure chance with the motor. Datapacks and optional KubeJS scripts let pack makers define custom matter types and item or tag values.
