FTB OceanBlock 2 is a quest-driven survival and technology modpack set on an ocean planet, where you begin in a crashed escape pod and work toward finding a way home. With no land-based resources, early progress involves scavenging nearby debris, automating basic supplies, and building the power and equipment needed to explore the ocean and withstand its crushing depths. Questlines guide progression and offer rewards as you improve your efficiency with the pack’s key mods, while submerged structures, challenges, and hidden artifacts reveal clues about the planet and the fate of earlier survivors. The technology path includes Oritech for machines, tools, and fuel; Replication for scanning materials and producing copies from available matter; Nautec’s sea-heart-powered prismatic lasers for refining aquatic materials; and systems for sorting items, transporting energy, and generating power. Further progression brings expanded machinery, armor, weapons, enchantments, and resources, alongside Mystical Agriculture for cultivating materials and unlocking additional tools and magical advances. Exploration also leads to dangerous destinations such as the altered Lava Dimension and the Rift, where powerful watery creatures and monsters guard greater risks and rewards. The journey combines survival, automation, underwater exploration, combat, and technological development as you descend into the ocean’s dark mysteries and pursue escape from the planet.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 24 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 21 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 311 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 309 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 23 of the 242 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
67 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
