About
Server Hats is a server-side mod that lets players wear allowed items as hats by placing them in the helmet slot, without needing a command to equip them. Its default selection includes banners, beds, fence gates, amethyst buds and clusters, a spyglass, and items such as glass, scaffolding, slime blocks, and composters. Dispensers can equip allowed items onto players, and those items can receive Curse of Vanishing or Curse of Binding on an anvil. Shift-clicking is prevented from equipping an item by default, helping avoid accidental hat changes while handling building materials. The allowed-item list and other behaviors can be adjusted with the /hats command or a configuration file, including an option to allow any item as a hat.
