About
Super Resolution brings image upscaling algorithms into Minecraft to improve rendering performance or visual quality by reconstructing a full-resolution image from a lower-resolution render. Its built-in choices include AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1, 2, and 3, Snapdragon Game Super Resolution 1 and 2, NVIDIA DLSS, and Intel XeSS. With compatible shader packs, it uses shader-provided color, depth, and motion-vector data to run the selected upscaler at a configured point in the shader pipeline, then writes the upscaled result back for later passes. Shader packs can use it to trade some image quality for performance, or select quality-focused scaling that can improve edge clarity. The mod also provides a shader-pack interface for supplying the data temporal upscalers need, including motion vectors and camera jitter, which are difficult to obtain directly in Minecraft.
