Random weapons and loadouts make every respawn a fresh gunfight.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 71 graded mods, 52 are graded A or B, 17 C and 2 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
TRACING LIGHT · DARK TIDE is a multiplayer arena-shooter modpack built around quick, replayable gunfights, with each respawn assigning a random weapon loadout and a new starting position. Its arenas include Dust II, Inferno, Nuke, Summit, Horizon, The Hall, Killhouse, and SAS, with maps ranging from compact close-quarters spaces to larger tactical battlefields. Modes cover team and solo elimination, one-life rounds, survivor-versus-hunter Manhunt, knife fights, aerial rocket duels, and tactical bomb planting; later additions include heavy-weapons Firepower, sniper team battles, and a faster infection-style hunt. Matches use team-specific or random solo spawns, brief respawn invulnerability, full randomized kits, and periodic mid-match supply drops, with results announced and arenas reset automatically afterward. The arsenal draws from TACZ and its addons, with release notes describing roughly 1,190 guns alongside new knives, specialty drinks, and an injectable item; demolition matches also offer a shop for tactical purchases. Vehicle content from SUPERB WARFARE includes tanks, armored vehicles, and helicopters, bringing mobile combat options to the arenas. Some maps add secrets: Lab and Summit have easter-egg rooms where finding an item can unlock a hidden achievement and a community title. Combat-focused refinements include redesigned shotgun and sniper balance, visible trajectories for grenades and other thrown items, reduced high-magnification scope sway, and an elytra setup with automatic firework boosting while flying.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 6 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 6 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 72 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 71 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 70 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
