A new way to defend yourself against the monsters of Minecraft.
37.6 of the 64 points that apply = 59 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Superior Shields adds personal force-field shields that fit into the Curios slot, giving players another way to defend against monsters. Each shield has its own capacity and regeneration delay and rate, and it recharges automatically when you are no longer taking damage; tooltips display its stats. Enchantments add offensive and defensive effects: Shield Capacity raises a shield’s capacity, Amplify trades some shield health for bonus melee damage, Nova effects trigger an area attack when the shield is depleted, and Spikes can inflict effects on attackers. The mod includes shields made from vanilla and modded materials, including Netherite, Electrum, common tech metals such as Tin, Lead, Bronze and Steel, and Twilight Forest materials such as Knightmetal, Firey, Steeleaf and Ironwood. Mod integrations add distinctive options, including Thermal’s augmentable Flux Shield, Mekanism shields matched to its armor sets and an energy-powered Electric Shield, Immersive Engineering’s rechargeable Engineer’s Shield, Botania’s mana-powered shields, and Ender IO’s energy-powered Darksteel Shield. Some shields also have built-in abilities, such as the Firey Shield, while Botania’s Elementium Shield boosts nearby faerie companions. Shields can also be found in dungeon chests, and server configuration allows shield statistics and enchantment power to be adjusted.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 32 items, 12 enchantments and 31 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
