Epic Expedition is a modpack built around long-term exploration and progression through a world combining magic and technology, with mods intended to be discovered naturally as you play. Players can explore varied biomes and cave systems, delve into dungeons with loot drawn from different mods, and take on epic boss battles. The pack adds a broad crafting and loot progression through tools, weapons, and armor, alongside reworked combat and expanded potion mechanics with new potions. Magic options sit alongside balanced technology systems, while overhauled minecart logistics and rails and multiple storage options support building and resource management. Villages and villager trading are enhanced, and waystones are included to aid travel. Difficulty features are balanced to make gameplay challenging and rewarding for different players, and the pack emphasizes performance and multiplayer server play. Added music and sound effects contribute to an immersive atmosphere, while some vanilla mechanics are toned down to encourage finding solutions in the included mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 26 May 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 May 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 186 of its 189 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of 183 of its 187 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 120 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
67 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
