Techguns is a survival-focused technology and combat mod that adds a broad arsenal, specialized armor, hostile NPCs, defensive turrets, world structures, and machines for making its equipment. Its weapons range from pistols, revolvers, and shotguns to assault rifles, miniguns, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, and science-fiction weapons such as the gauss rifle and Tesla gun; guns have distinct firing and reload animations, recoil, muzzle flashes, and weapon-specific bullet speeds. Weapons can use different ammunition types, including incendiary rounds, while a two-hand and dual-wield system supports different ways of carrying and using guns. Armor includes combat, mining, scout, commando, riot, and powered suits, with bonuses such as movement or mining speed; powered armor uses RF or steam, and damage types affect how armor protects the player. Extra inventory slots let players equip items such as gas masks and gliders or jetpacks, carry ammunition, and store food that is eaten automatically. The world can generate sites including police stations, survivors' hideouts, and gas stations, as well as military bases guarded by armed NPCs; threats become more dangerous farther from the world spawn and in hot or cold biomes. Turrets can be fitted with guns and ammunition, repair and heal their summoned turret NPC over time, and use the chosen weapon's range; their security settings can also govern whether they attack players, with friend-aware behavior when FTB Utilities is installed. Production machines support a crafting progression from basic ammunition and metal plates to more advanced materials and equipment: the Ammo Press makes basic rounds, the Metal Press produces plates, and machines such as the Chem Lab, Fabricator, and Reaction Chamber handle further processing. A Camo Workbench changes the appearance of supported weapons and armor, while the Repair Bench restores armor more cheaply than crafting it again and without requiring experience. Ore drills are multiblock machines that extract resources from world-spawned ore clusters; clusters last indefinitely, but extraction rate is limited and the drills require power unless power requirements are disabled in configuration.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
Adds 354 recipes, 26 loot tables and 166 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
