A war pack with guns, bombs, and technology to build.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 178 graded mods, 92 are graded A or B, 31 C and 55 D to F. Its last update came out 16 months ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Dysfunctional's Tech, Bombs, Guns, and War is a combat-focused modpack built around firearms, explosives, military technology, and industrial automation. Its 1.12.2 edition combines Flan's Mod, HBM's Nuclear Tech Mod, ICBM Classic, and Techguns with technical mods such as Mekanism, Refined Storage, Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, Advanced Generators, and PneumaticCraft. The 1.19.2 edition takes a different technological approach, emphasizing multiblock machinery from Immersive Engineering and Create, MrCrayfish's Gun Mod and add-ons, and Aurilisdev's technology mods. Combat is illustrated with examples including cluster-bomb air strikes and a Fat Man detonation that leaves a mushroom cloud and crater. In the newer edition, survival also involves eating a varied diet to stay healthy and taking damage to specific body sections depending on where a hit lands. The Modrinth release is a reduced version of the 1.12.2 CurseForge pack, with some content omitted while retaining what the creators describe as its core experience.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 6 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Apr 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 181 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 180 of its 181 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 123 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
58 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
