Tomes adds player-crafted spellbooks that gain active and passive magic through enchanting, with three tome types themed around archaic, living, and cursed hearts. Each tome can hold one active spell, cast with a right-click, while its passive spells stack and remain in effect as long as the tome is held in either hand; active casting wears down the book, which can be repaired with its crafting heart. Active spells include Self Propulsion, which launches the player and prevents fall damage on landing; Force of Wind, which pushes nearby mobs; and Strike From Above, which calls lightning onto a distant targeted block. Other spells can change the weather or time, turn nearby grass, logs, and leaves into mushroom terrain, nurture crops and animals, pacify or tame creatures, and summon temporary companions such as a wild wolf or spectral horse. Passive effects include boosted experience, projectile reflection, slower hunger loss on grass, doubled crop yields, forest-biome regeneration and resistance, and night vision, strength, and speed after dark. Hearts used to craft and repair the tomes drop from specific mobs: archaic hearts from zombies, beating hearts from villagers or illagers, and sweet hearts from witches. Most active spells come from enchanting, while rare treasure spells such as Dark Age and Molding Lands must be found as loot or obtained through a witch trade; configuration options adjust heart drop chances and spell cooldowns and costs.

No harmful code found

We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
