About
Underground Biomes diversifies underground terrain by adding 24 igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary stone types that appear in generated landscapes. The stones have matching forms including cobblestone, gravel, sand, sandstone, clay, bricks, mossy variants, monster eggs, slabs, walls, stairs, and buttons; some stone types also change mining or resource behavior, such as harder-to-break granite and lignite that can serve as cheap coal. World generation can convert ores and structures such as villages to match the local stone, and the mod includes integrations for ores from mods including Create, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, and Quark. Configuration lets players disable particular block variants and add ore support for other mods through JSON definitions; the mod also supports dynamic ore overlays and animated ore textures.
