The modpack Forge Labs used in his "I Spent 100 Days in the Arctic in Minecraft" video.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 46 graded mods, 14 are graded A or B, 11 C and 21 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
ArctiCraft is a survival-focused modpack built around enduring a harsh Arctic environment inspired by northern Canada. Worlds begin surrounded by snow and ice, and you must gather materials and craft what you need to survive while contending with homeostasis and hostile predators, which may include geese. Its mods also create a winter atmosphere, making the cold landscape part of the challenge.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 22 Jan 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 20 Jan 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 48 of its 50 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of 48 of its 50 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 23 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
27 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
