Hunt powerful bosses across a world full of dungeons and adventures.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 84 graded mods, 71 are graded A or B, 6 C and 7 D to F. Its last update came out 3.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Abyss Hunter is an adventure-focused modpack built around the awakening of powerful bosses, casting players as hunters tasked with confronting them and keeping the world stable. Exploration spans more than 100 biomes, new dimensions including the Bumblezone, and an expanded End and Nether, with improved treasure maps and underground, flying, and other dungeon and structure additions. The pack adds more than five bosses, many new hostile mobs, medieval soldiers, and distinct trinkets, while encounters grow harder as mobs become more powerful. Players can choose from more than 30 professions and bring nomadic supplies such as backpacks, bags, and sleeping bags on their travels. Combat and progression are supported by new weapons and equipment, expanded magic, and basic processing, automation, and more advanced devices. Building and everyday survival also receive additions, including construction blocks and decorations, new crops and trees, and medieval music. Reaching the End is made into a regional exploration goal: activating the End Portal requires eleven kinds of Eyes of Ender gathered from different regions.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 23 Jun 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked all 89 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 89 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 75 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
14 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
